I purchased one for my 10-year old son, who thought it looked cool. He’s right about the way this scooter looks. It is just a mini version of a Vespa, except the front fender does not turn with the wheel. The packaging for this is bomb-proof and with a box within a box, it was easy to get out of the packaging and set up. All in all, it took less than ten minutes to get it ready. Be sure to give yourself the full 12 hours to charge the battery before riding to ensure that you get the battery off to the right start. There are some complaints about battery life, and the recommendation is always to start with a fully charged battery. The fit and finish of the scooter are impeccable. It runs up to the advertised speeds (15 mph) with my 105 lb. boy on it bedecked with winter clothes. It does not climb very well, and grades of maybe 4% will challenge it. Steep driveways and roadways will require getting off and pushing it. Be sure to check with local regulations about driving one of these on public roadways; some states are much more strict in words and actions than others. The scooter is light and can be pick-up by an adult with the handlebars and the handle on the back of the seat. Well-balanced and well-designed. Though we have stored ours for the winter, we all look forward to seeing it zip around the neighborhood when things thaw. I’ll report back on how the bike held up in cold storage.
